Michael Ashley Ball (born 27th June 1962 in Worcestershire) appeared briefly as Malcolm Nuttall in Coronation Street in 1985. A singer, actor, television and radio presenter Michael appears regularly in musicals, most notably Aspects of Love (his recording of the opening song 'Love changes everything' reached number two in the charts) and recently Hairspray (he won the Olivier award for best actor in a musical playing Edna Turnblad).
