Vita is the wife of Nick Alto and the mother of Holly Alto. She shares a good relationship with her husband, but she and her daughter Holly barely know each other. She is friends with Gunther and Cornelia Goth and old enemies with Geoffrey and Nancy Landgraab. This is probably due to their economic status; since the Landgraabs are old money and the Altos are new money, that could have caused their feud. She is an acquaintance of Mortimer Goth and Malcolm Landgraab. She closely resembles the actress Bette Midler.
