South Core Tunnel is a room in the Magmoor Caverns area in Metroid Prime. It has a short hallway which opens out into a pool of magma in the middle. There is a Puddle Spore in the center of the pool, along with two Flame jets on the walls, one on each side of the creature. To cross, Samus can shoot the Puddle Spore when open, causing it to overturn, forming a safe ledge in the lava. Following the pool is a cavern with Metal crates and Burrowers.
