When a Galvan scientist named Azmuth created a device known as the Omnitrix, he trusted Xylene with the responsibility of taking care of it. Unfortunately, the Chimera Sui Generis conqueror Vilgax went after it, so Xylene attempted to send it away to Earth, intending for it to reach Maxwell. As it turns out, the device was instead found by his grandson, Ben Tennyson. Meanwhile, Xylene's ship was damaged in the battle with Vilgax and crashed on a different place on Earth, where she remained frozen for some time.
