The Rt Hon. Benjamin Mark Iain Walker MP (b. 3rd June1916) is a British Conservative politician who currently represents the constituency of Bedfordshire South, and was Secretary of State for Defence in the Cabinet of Edward Heath until his resignation following Heath's desire to take Britain into the EEC. Following the narrow defeat in the 1974 General Election and Heath's resignation, many believe he is set to challenge for the Leadership of the Conservative Party as a candidate of the right.
