Eugénie Emilie Dibdin (c.1864 - 18 November 1925) (née Schwartz-Trub). The daughter of the Reverend Marc Schwartz-Trub Hautier, of La Sarraz, Vaud, Switzerland, she was educated on The Continent. She married Robert William Dibdin in 1882. Her husband was a solicitor in Holborn. A member of Holborn Borough Council, he was was Mayor of Holborn in 1902-3, and later an honorary freeman and an alderman. He was president of the Law Society in 1924, and was knighted in 1925. Like her husband, Eugénie was active in the Conservative Party, and was treasurer of the Holborn branch of the Primrose League.
