Cryptocrystalline is a rock texture that is finely crystalline. It's made of such minute crystals that its crystalline nature is only vaguely revealed even microscopically. Among the sedimentary rocks, and flint are cryptocrystalline, as well as a form of diamond, known as carbonado, is cryptocrystalline.
