The Jubilee Line as it came into being went from Stanmore Station via the former Bakerloo Line to Baker Street Station and then on to Charing Cross Station. There were various proposals for its extension - including the route of the original Fleet Line: what was developed was a line through to Stratford Station that opened in stages from summer to Christmas 1999.
