He was a friend of Mike Anderson and was his lieutenant in police activities. He helped him in the arrest of Linoge, but, like Mike Anderson, he failed in stopping him because of his tremendous powers. At the end, he, like the town, decided to give in to Linoge´s demand of wanting a child from them and Ralph Anderson was taken away because of it. Mike Anderson broke with him and the town after that forever because of it. His wife died of a heart attack because of it, too. He later married Molly Anderson, whom Mike divorced for the same reason because of common grief.
