During the Pendulum Wars, the Duke of Tollen's Regiment fought the Republic of Gorasnaya. Many members of the regiment were captured in battle, and sent to the prisoner of war and forced labor camp in Ramascu, where many of them died due to poor conditions and mistreatment at the hands of the guards. The survivors gained an undying hatred of the Gorasni for their actions.
