Ari Patel was a marine in Raynor's Raiders. Roughly two months after the Fall of Tarsonis, he found himself as part of a Raiders force on the surface of Char, partnered with Chuck Ayers. Descending into a series of tunnels below the surface of the planet, he took point with Ayers and was almost killed by a hydralisk as a result. Unlike Ayers, who was killed by the creature, Patel only received a large cut across his arm. As such, he was able to proceed further down into the tunnels.
