The lightsaber is a weapon of both Jedi and Sith that will be appearing as a battering item in Super Smash Bros. Smash Wars. It was originally meant for it to replace the Beam Sword, however, it was requested that Beam Swords appear also, and now both are useable. Because of the similarities as items, the Lightsaber will be stronger, dealing more damage and knockback than the Beam Sword. It will also have different hilts like Darth Maul's double bladed hilt; it will also have arial attacks. The lightsaber comes in different colors:
