Nace was a Sith Acolyte of the resurgent Sith Empire who trained on the academy world of Odacer-Faustin in 3645 BBY. Nace studied lightsaber technique under Sith Blademaster Shak'Weth, and was considered proficient in the art by fellow student Wim Nickter. When Rance Lussk, one of the most talented acolytes in attendance at the academy, decided to issue a challenge to one of his classmates, Nickter believed that Nace was a possible choice, as the two duelists had comparable skill. Ultimately, Lussk chose Nickter, and Nace watched with the rest of his dueling group as Rance brutally and easily defeated Nickter.
