A Tank Squad is a type of military squad in Tropico 5. These tanks form part of Tropico's armored branch of its military, tasked with the protection of the island in the event of an invasion, coup, revolt or rebellion. When not in combat they are kept away in the Army Base's garages. These units can be trained in the World Wars Era after researching the Tanks technology. In the Cold War Era the MK-I tanks can be upgraded into MK-II tanks, being the same model with Reactive Armor, which make them more durable in battle.
