The introduction of the PS40 (along with the PS120) marked Stanley's return to Ibanez. Stanley had previously been an Ibanez endorser since the 1970's and is closely associated with the Iceman body style. The PS40 is a more basic version of the PS120, with a poplar body, rosewood fretboard with dot inlay and Ibanez pickups. The chrome pickguard features a reproduction of Stanley's autograph.
