The Betann (Taxonomically Spiro secreto; dubbed Goblin by humans) are a race of sentient beings of a mobile, bipedal plant-like family native to Betann, a planet that shares the same name with the beings themselves. They intake carbon dioxide through nostrils, similar to those on humans and other similar species. Due to this, they are forced to wear masks that regulate their carbon dioxide intake. In Betann society, it isn't acceptable to reveal one's face in public. Therefore, they always wear decorative masks. In other environments, the betann wear masks that filter carbon dioxide, as well as veil the face. A Betann's face has never been seen by a human.
