Orphen (Real name: Krylancelo Finrandi), born in the Kiesaruhima continent, was previously one of the thirteen candidates for "Court Sorcerer" in the Tower of Fangs, where he was trained as a black sorcerer. He carries his trademark pendant around his neck, which is a symbol of coming from the Tower of Fangs. By the end of the novels, Orphen is living in obscurity on the outskirts of the continent with a daughter called Ratsbane, whose mother is Cleao Everlasting.
