The USS Crockett was a 24th century Federation starship operated by Starfleet. In 2370, the Crockett transported Admiral Mitsuya to Deep Space 9. (DS9: "Paradise") The Star Trek Encyclopedia (4th ed., vol. 2, p. 328) described this vessel as an Excelsior-class starship, with the registry NCC-38995. The Star Trek Encyclopedia (4th ed., vol. 1, p. 168) stated the starship was "named after Davey Crockett, American frontiersman and politician." The Star Fleet Technical Manual by Franz Joseph featured a listing of an earlier starship, the Hermes-class Crockett with the registry NCC-600. The ship was a MK-VII scout authorized for appropriation on stardate 0965.
