An all American museum (pay no mind to it's having been created by a weird English type who never visted America) In Early 2008, our dear Stephens portrait was hung at the Smithsonian Institution's National Portrait Gallery in Washington for a six-week showing in what the museum considers an "appropriate place" Colbert, who has campaigned for the honor was able to boast that his portrait was "hanging in the hall of presidents, just a few yards from the father of our country — exactly where I believe it belongs." It's located right between the bathrooms near the "America's Presidents" exhibit.
