The United States of America (USA) is a foreign power in Tropico 5. The USA first becomes prominent after the World Wars; its tensions with the USSR define the Cold War. After the USSR collapses, it becomes stricter on democratic inclusiveness and more accepting of labor rights and economic planning. In the event that Tropico is allied with the States and is invaded, the superpower will reinforce the land with three Commando Squads. However, if the United States is the invading force they will send infantry squads accompanied by commando squads to take El Presidente out.
