As an identity, intergender can be considered to be between male and female, or to be a combination of the two. Intergender people may also identify as nonbinary, genderqueer and/or transgender. However, some intergender people consider themselves cisgender, as their gender is reflective of their sex characteristics at birth. Intergender people can have any gender expression or sexual orientation. Intergender is different from Ipso gender which is intersex people agreeing with the sex they were assigned at birth.
