The film was directed by Kyle Newman and released on May 4, 2013, for Star Wars Day. Various stars pay tribute to the film, including Donald Faison, Topher Grace, Seth Green, Chris Hardwick, Kevin Smith, Pete Wentz, and Sam Witwer. In June 2013, a special extended edition was released exclusively on the official Star Wars website, containing additional footage of celebrity interviews.
