Palamel is a village in Alappuzha district in the Indian state of Kerala. As of 2001 India census, Palamel had a population of 31,916 with 15,112 males and 16,804 females. Panayil Devi temple is famous and ancient temple in this place. A newly constructed house in the name of "PLANET" is also situated near the temple on Anayadi Road.
