Mercius Nothian was a Charon male Voidborn of the Heth species who served Prophet of the Void, the ruler of the Charon Dominion, for nearly two centuries prior to the outbreak of the Extant War. Unlike the majority of Savant Caste, Mercius held no prejudices toward the lower castes when searching for his potential successor, which ultimately led to his choosing Krovo Scrios as the Oracle and future Harbinger. Following his discover of Scrios, Mercius came to believe the young Voidborn was the prophesied Final Prophet, a sentiment that Scrios himself came to endorse and seek to make a reality.
