Georg Ingwersen Jensen was born on 14 June 1906 in Lyngby. His father was the chamber lackey for the King Christian X of Denmark and he has a brother Henning and sister Esther, both of whom he has outlived. He lived in a senior residence in Skovlunde until his death. He faced hearing problems and required an interpreter. He had a sharp memory, being able to have memories of his childhood up to about 100 years ago. According to his interpreter, who was also his home help, he was very talkative and happy. On his 109th birthday, his daughter visited him and some of his grandchildren. He also had memories of the days of World War I. As of his 109th birthday, he took a vitamin pill a day.
