New Palestine (Arabic: فلسطين الجديدة, Filasṭīn al-jadiida) is a governorate of the Republic of Hilal. The region was settled by Palestinian and other Muslims from Israel and neighboring regions. Many Palestinians, especially the hardliners, did not accept the idea at first, however, as time passed, more and more admitted that at least this was still a source of pride for many Palestinians, thinking that while Palestinian territories had Venusian colonies, the Israelis have none yet, and self-identified Palestinian Arabs comprise 27% of the population. The settlement followed the other Arab settlements in the area by declaring independence as Hilal in 2011.
