David Ransom Porter served as a colonel in the Pre-Sanctuary Vanguard and later as captain of the Vanguard Exploration Service ship, VES Minerva. David Ransom Porter was killed reopening the Multiverse Nexus to allow the Minerva's passage back to normalspace, he later returned to life, appearing on Ungstir. David Ransom Porter believed to be dead after being killed by Grim during a raid on Tomin Kora was sighted August 28, 3006 on a New Luna landing pad.
