Tanol was the second moon of Telephron, with Tamol being it's first moon. Unlike Tamol, it was almost entirely covered by a cityscape metropolis, much like Nar Shaddaa, but slightly smaller. There was no government, but the planet was in allegiance with the Galactic Jedi Order.Many smugglers used the moon as a hideout or base or just an area to lay low. The city was built into sectors. Market Sector, Refugee Sector, Militia Sector, Manufacture Sector, Noble's Sector, Civilian sector(which was the biggest of all) and the Lower-cityscape, where much of the crime took place.
