Veil One was a male Human Cyborg living during the Galactic War. Along with cyborgs Veil Two and Veil Three, the tree presented themselves as a single entity called "The Veil" to the Nar Shaddaa underworld. In 3641 BBY the Veil took control over the production of the CN-12 sensor chip from the Cult of the Screaming Blade. When Sith Lord Kallig, who owned the Cult, approached the Veil for the CN-12, the Veil offered the chip in exchange for the leadership of the Cult.
