This character is referred to as just the shoemaker's wife, or as "Mama" in KQ5. Her last name comes from the King's Quest Companion 2nd edition. She is based on the shoemaker's wife in the fairy tale, The Elves and the Shoemaker. While in the story the elves make shoes for the shoemaker directly, Graham acts like a middleman between the elves and the shoemaker.
