Bramwil was the oldest hare in Salamandastron, he was frail and forgetful. When the hares were trapped in a cavern near Salamandastron's cellars he recalled the skiprope rhyme taught to him by Nurse Willoway, Littlebob Hare, which enabled them to escape. Later he described Stonepaw to Lord Brocktree, which visibly pained him. Bramwil was also the father of Windcoat.
