Arra Champignon is the wife of Charles Champignon. She is of Manni descent and was pregnant with their first child. She politely refuses Steven Deschain when he asks her to remain in Gilead to give birth as she promised her mother she would give birth in her Kra. On her way home to Taunton she and her husband were ambushed by Farson's men at Gallows Hill. She was raped and killed by Farson's forces. Her husband was made to watch the act as she had her baby cut from her womb. She cried the entire time, asking why Charles had not protected them.
