Zael is the Leader of Team Zanata, and the orchestrator of all of their plans. By defeating him, Team Zanata is crushed and the player's final mission with Team Luciphim is complete, but the player does not receive the reward, the Final Emblem, until they defeat the Champion. A defector from Team Luciphim, Zael fell to evil and desires to spite Team Luciphim by vilifying them.
