Hungary, officially the Kingdom of Hungary, is a landlocked country in Central Europe, which covers the whole of the Carpathian Basin. It borders Russia to the east, the Balkan Union to the south, Poland to the north, and France to the west. Its capital and largest city is Budapest. Hungary is a members of the European Union, the Paris Pact, the International League, and the G-organizations. Hungarian, officially known as Magyar, is the official language of the state. It is so far the only non-Indo-European language to be an official language of a European country.
