(PROSE: Vampire Science) The Fifth Doctor met with William Shakespeare for a drink. Shakespeare stowed away on the TARDIS, and journeyed to the time of Richard III. Shakespeare attempted to meddle with history to make Richard more like the hero of his play, Richard III. Shakespeare died at the Battle of Bosworth in 1485 in Richard's place. Richard returned with the Doctor to 1597, where he assumed Shakespeare's identity. Thus, according to this view of history, much of what was later known as a work of Shakespeare was actually written by Richard III. (AUDIO: The Kingmaker)
