Hues, born in Waltrop, Germany, comes from a family of actors and musicians and is a relative of composer and musician Engelbert Humperdinck. He is a martial artist and has started his career as an athlete and then moved to Los Angeles, where he was discovered in the Gold's Gym in Venice, California. He also has appeared in television series such as Tequila & Bonetti (1992, starring Charles Rocket, and guest starring Robert Knepper and Russ Fega), Conan (1997, starring Jeremy Kemp), and Power Rangers Lost Galaxy (1999).
