Rudolf Wijbrand Kesselaar, better known as Rudi Carrell, was a Dutch entertainer who represented the Netherlands at the Eurovision Song Contest 1960 in London, England with the song Wat een geluk, which finished in 12th place. In an interview in November 2005 the entertainer confirmed to the magazine Bunte, that he was suffering from lung cancer. He died on 7 July 2006 in Bremen, Germany, aged 71.
