The Avalon Junior Capitals are a junior B team that plays in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador in the St. John's Junior Hockey League. The city of St. John's is located on the Avalon Peninsula. They have played in the league since the 1983-84 season. The team has won the league championship in 1989, 1990, 1996, 2014. The team has won the Veitch Memorial Trophy as provincial champions in 1990, 1996. The team hosted the 2016 Don Johnson Memorial Cup finishing as the tournament runner up.
