Anakin Skywalker was a male slave from Tatooine. He was freed by Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn, who believed that Skywalker was The Chosen One (this was not so). While the Jedi High Council had forbid Skywalker to be trained as a Jedi, they decided that since Skywalker could be The Chosen One, he could be trained under Qui-Gon's apprentice, Obi-Wan Kenobi.
