The Vulcan Golden Age was a period of history within the Vulcan race. It came about some time after the end of the Time of Awakening when the philosopher Surak had preached his peace as well as logic teachings to the rest of his people. After those that opposed these teachings abandoned their home world, the Vulcan race began a period of scientific as well as technology development. This led to early exploration of space before they had acquired warp technology. This age was shattered by the events of the Vulcan-Romulan War.
