The Office of the National Counterintelligence Executive's Community Acquisition Risk Section (CARS) evaluates the risk to the Intelligence Community posed by U.S. commercial entities that conduct business with foreign firms. CARS also provides threat assessments to the Committee on Foreign Investments in the United States (CFIUS) to help ensure that foreign investment does not endanger U.S. strategic interests.
