The Wilmut Party was a political organization on the planet Mariposa in the mid 2370s. They were among the groups thought to have possibly been responsible for the release of a genetically engineered pathogen in the Life Science Center which killed hundreds. (SCE eBook: Out of the Cocoon) The party was presumably named for Ian Wilmut, the scientist responsible for cloning Dolly the sheep.
