Guarding the Italians was a minor skirmish fought in Italy in which a small Allied force attacks an Italian village under the guard of Gero A. Fritz. It marked the first recorded battles of both Rhys Bevan and Gero A. Fritz and the promotion of the former to Staff Sergeant.
