The Core Triad was a criminal syndicate based in the Core Worlds, primarily on Coruscant. Formed by an immigrant from the Core planet of Axum and former Black Sun thug, Sang Juntao, the Triad became one of the most influential and powerful criminal groups in the Core. The Coruscant Security Force was unable to stop the problem and called the Jedi in as their crimes grew more rampant. At it's peak, the Triad bought out Verre Sydia, a Human female senator. During the Yuuzhan Vong War, Triad members fought fiercely against the extragalactic invaders, sabotaging them and even carrying out suicide attacks against them.
