Blackgate Prison is large and hexagon shaped; having a watchtower, parking lot, prison bus storage and a large courtyard. It's cellhouse had A-Block where inmates were never permanently so prisoners are held briefly before a hearing or transfer. The B-Block is where the majority of the inmates were held and D-Block kept the worst and most dangerous criminals, with varying degrees of punishments including Isolation, Solitary and Strip. The dining hall is where prisoners and staff had meals, being located long wing on the west from the cellhouse. The warden's office was also kept for the warden, the social hall was a social venue for inmates and they were two execution chambers. The first included the poison gas chamber while the other contained an electric chair.
