Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade is a 1989 American adventure film directed by Steven Spielberg. It is the third in the series of adventures of the swashbuckling archaeologist. Dr. Jones sets out in search of his father, a professor of Medieval literature and seeker of the Holy Grail. A deleted line of dialogue has Jones Sr. Explicitly connect the characters to the Arthurian legend. The Ancient Grail Knight was played by who had previously played Merlin in The Legend of King Arthur (1979).
