Peijin (also Peijing in the anime) is the capital city of the Republic of East Gorteau, located on the Southeastern end of the country. Ming Jol-ik, Supreme Leader of the country, lives in a palace just outside of the city. After the Chimera Ants covertly seize power of the country, Neferpitou manipulates Ming Jol-ik's body to have the nation's citizens all assemble in Peijin.
