The bamboo pickaxe is an item made during the Ak-Haranu's Students quest. It has a slightly lower mining speed than a Bronze pickaxe, and is made by using a Bamboo shoot on another Bamboo shoot with some Hemp string in your inventory, giving a small amount of crafting experience. Although the player can make Bamboo pickaxes after completion of the quest; it is not recommended to do so, as the bamboo pickaxe has a very slow mining speed, and breaks on occasion, while regular metal pickaxes do not. At 120 Mining, the pickaxe will never break.
