The 1–0 victory over AFC Bournemouth on 5 April 2011 marked two significant achievements in the 2010–11 season. Firstly it was caretaker boss Stuart Campbell's first home win in charge of the club, and secondly it lifted Rovers out of the League One relegation zone for the first time since the previous December. A first half penalty from Jeff Hughes was enough to pick up all three points, in spite of a second-half onslaught from Bournemouth that saw goalkeeper Conrad Logan earn himself the Man of the Match award.
