Tempa is a naturally occuring substance that combines the properties of quicksand and concrete. It seems solid upon observation, but if anything should fall in, it's impossible to get it out. Wes Carter used tempa to his advantage in a mechanized duel with his mentor Jon Dyre, luring the latter's Viking into it.
